For weeks and months: a home for a while, in its own park.
The Schlossresidenz began with guests who stay. The first apartments were meant for managers and project teams working in the region for weeks and months, which is why every unit still has its own kitchen today. If you need somewhere to live near Hanover for a project, a move, a renovation or a spell between two homes, you will not be staying in a hotel room here, but in a furnished apartment with a park on the doorstep.
Who it suits
- Projects in the region: several weeks on site, with quiet in the evening instead of a city hotel.
- New to Hanover: bridging the time until your own home is ready.
- Building work or water damage at home: a place where you can live normally.
- Visiting academics and lecturers: the Leibniz University Mechanical Engineering Campus is in Garbsen.
- A break that lasts longer than a holiday.
What you will find
Every unit is fully furnished and equipped, with its own kitchen or kitchenette, its own bathroom, a dining area and free Wi-Fi. Your parking space is right in front of the apartment. On top of that, you have everything the house offers all its guests: sauna, fitness room and tennis court around the clock, the natural swimming pond in summer, coffee and tea in the lounge, and bicycles for rides through the fields.
The eleven apartments and suites run as hotel units range from 25 to 61 square metres; for longer stays for two, the larger ones such as 06 Singschwan, 08 Paradiesvogel or 11 Nymphensittich have proved their worth.
The three large suites
In the house right by the pond are three suites made for long stays:
- 12 Kronenkranich, 126 m², with a dedicated workspace and two bathrooms.
- 13 Silberreiher, 197 m² on two levels, with an open-plan kitchen and a bathroom beneath the roof.
- 14 Schwarzer Schwan, 250 m², with a fireplace, several rooms and a terrace by the water, where the black swans swim.
All three are currently let on a long-term basis. We are happy to take enquiries for later dates.
A location for everyday life
The A2 motorway is a few minutes from the house, at the Garbsen Nord exit. You can reach Hanover in around twenty minutes, the airport in fifteen to twenty, and the exhibition grounds in about thirty. For shopping, there is Garbsen. Without a car, everyday life here is hard work: bus route 410 stops in the village, and the nearest railway station is Wunstorf.
